1-2-1Counselling
It’s an opportunity for you to be ‘really heard’ by an experienced and compassionate professional whilst ‘sitting together indoors or walking and talking’ outdoors (EcoTherapy).
I’m there to assist and enable you to explore any aspect of your life, feelings and experiences.
I’m there to support you so that you don’t feel alone.
I’m there to assist you to unravel the thoughts, feelings and emotions that are causing you dis-ease or discomfort.
I’m there to be your compassion companion.
What can I expect ?
What will happen ?
Sometimes we just want to talk to someone who is willing to really listen to us. Be assured you and your needs are at the centre of the counselling sessions I provide. The sessions are all about creating space for you to talk about whatever is going on for you.
I have had a lot of experience in helping people feel at ease, meeting people where they are in that moment, and working with people to alleviate suffering.
We can set up an initial chat via the telephone (free of charge). You can then decide if I am the person you feel you can work with and we can organise a date and time to meet in-person or via Zoom.
There are no set numbers of sessions for clients. Everyone is different. It is normal to do a weekly review, but specifically to review how things are for you after eight sessions.
Contacting me could be the beginning of a new start for you. All you need to do is email.
Where ?
I am very happy to see you face-to-face or via Zoom.
I can offer one-to-one sessions in the comfort of my counselling room in Dunfermline. From Monday 12 August I will be offering four counselling sessions between noon and 3.00 pm from A Quiet Room, Leith Edinburgh.
EcoTherapy – Many clients appreciate the space and fresh air of the outdoors to walk and talk together. Pittencrieff Park or Townhill Wood in Dunfermline are both ideal places to meet for an hour to walk and talk. There is a lot of research now that shows the benefits of outdoor counselling.
If you are more comfortable meeting by the sea, the mountains or the forest etc, that can be arranged.
Some clients I see solely via Zoom or with a blend of in-person and Zoom.
If you decide that you would like to proceed, we can discuss options suitable to yourself. An introductory meeting can be organised at a date and time that suits us both.
My appointment times are flexible and I can meet from 7.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. My last appointment on a Wednesday and Thursday is 6.00 -7.00 pm. On Saturday I offer a 10.00 am appointment.
